Video Poker is a popular game that usually will be wagered on in casinos around the world, or alternatively at home on your PC, using a net account. The rules are very simple and involve the player trying to achieve the highest mixture of cards as you can in order to come away with money. On this account it’s very similar as a regular game of poker, apart from the line of contact with other players. The game of Video Poker starts when the gambler inserts credits (whether it’s tokens, tickets or cash) into the machine and pushes the play button. A five card hand will then be "given out" on the video screen.

After the player has chosen which cards he or she would like to keep, the player will then press ‘deal’, at which point any new cards are handed out if desired. The game is now finished, with the Video Poker machine analyzing the hand to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands printed on the payment schedule.
Typically, the lowest succeeding hand on a Video Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the award money growing for each and every better hand. A common list of winning hands starts with jacks or better, moving on to two pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It should be known that the payment schedule can range from game to game, so that experienced players are agile enough to pick the most profitable ones each time.
Once the initial round has finished, the player can either decide to continue on and try to to increase their earnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any money that they may have won. Further, a few styles of the game give the player a chance to increase their wins, in which instance another round is played. There are also variations between specific machines, with some virtual decks including wild cards and other differing characteristics to enhance playability.
