One more machine offering the advanced video poker gambler an edge is the ten/six Deuces Wild device. These odds have been confirmed as a result of pc modelling. Jacks-or-Better Video Poker Method
- In any hand holding a Jack, unless of course the hand is already a winner! – 4 to an open-ended Straight, 4 to some Flush or three into a Straight Flush or Royal Flush – refuse all cards only keeping the Jack
- In any hand with only 1 card Jack or better, keep the individual great card and reject all other cards and redraw.
- In any hand holding one pair less than than Jacks, preserve the pair and refuse all other cards – unless the hand is 4 to some Straight or 4 to some Flush
- In any hand having a 2-pair, keep both pair and refuse the odd-card.
- In any hand with three-of-a-kind preserve the three-of-a-kind and refuse the other 2 cards.
- In any hand having 4 to some Straight, preserve all four Straight cards and re-draw – unless of course the Straight draw is not open-ended and the hand is with a Jack)
- In any hand holding 4 to some Flush, retain the 4 Flush – unless of course the hand holds three to the Royal in which case you would draw to the Royal Flush
- In any hand with 4-of-a-kind, hold every thing since a 1-card draw won’t improve the cards.
- In any hand having 3 into a Royal Flush, reject every thing else and go for that Royal – unless the hand is already a Sraight Flush!
