Video Poker is a popular game that can be played in casinos across the globe, or alternatively at home on your home computer, using an Internet connection. The rules are very simple and consist of the player attempting to achieve the highest assemblage of cards as you can in order to acquire money. In this respect it is much the same as a classic game of poker, apart from the line of contact with other players. The game of Video Poker starts when the gambler inserts credits (either tokens, tickets or cash) into the machine and presses the draw button. A 5 card hand will then be "given out" on the screen.

A list of common winning hands starts with jacks or better, and moves on to two pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and finally royal flushes. It definitely goes without saying that the pay out schedule can change from machine to machine, so that experienced enthusiasts are agile enough to select the most money-making game every time.
Once the first round has finished, the player can either choose to remain on in an attempt to maximize their winnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any credits that might been won. Further, a few versions of the game give the enthusiast an opportunity to double their wins, in which situation a further game is played. There are also differences among specific machines, with some virtual decks having wild cards and other differing aspects to increase playability.
