Video Poker is a popular game that usually will be played in casinos around the globe, or alternatively at home on your home computer, through an Internet account. The regulations are very simple and consist of the player trying to achieve the greatest mixture of cards achievable in order to win cash. On this account it is very similar as a normal game of poker, minus the interaction with any other players. Of course, methods employed during a real-life game of poker, like tricking, will be useless here.
The game of Video Poker begins when the enthusiast inserts credits (whether it is tokens, credit slips or money) into the machine and pushes the draw button. A 5 card hand will then be electronically ‘handed out’ on the video screen.

The game is now finished, with the Electronic Poker machine analyzing the hand to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands listed in the payment schedule.
Normally, the minimum succeeding hand on a Video Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the award money getting larger for each better hand. A common list of winning hands begins with jacks or better, moving on to 2 pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It should be known that the pay out schedule can range from machine to machine, so that discerning players are agile enough to choose the most money-making machine each time.
Once the initial round has completed, the player can either decide to continue on in an attempt to maximize their winnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any cash that might have been won. Additionally, several styles of the game give the bettor a chance to increase their profits, in which situation another round is played. There are also differences between specific games, with some decks of cards having wild cards and other varying aspects to enhance playability.
