Electronic Poker is a beloved game that usually will be played in casinos all over the world, or alternatively at your house on your home computer, through a web connection. The rules are absolutely simple and consist of the player trying to get the best combination of cards as you can in order to win cash. In this respect it is very similar as a regular game of poker, minus the line of contact with any other players. Of course, methods used in a real-life game of poker, like bluffing, will be useless here.
The game of Electronic Poker starts when the enthusiast inserts credits (whether it is tokens, credit slips or cash) into the machine and pushes the play button. A hand of 5 cards will then be electronically ‘dealt’ on the video screen.
The Video Poker game also has hold buttons, and enthusiasts should now pick which cards to hold and which to discard. For the cards the player would like to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons should be pressed so that they illuminate. The player can decide to keep any amount of cards they want, whether it’s all or none.
After the gambler has chosen which cards she wishes to keep, they should press ‘draw’, at which point any fresh cards will be dealt if desired. The round is now finished, with the Electronic Poker machine analyzing the cards to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands printed on the pay out schedule.
Typically, the lowest winning hand on a Video Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money getting larger for each and every better hand. A list of common winning hands starts with jacks or better, moving on to two pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It goes without saying that the payment schedule can vary from game to game, so that skillful players are able to choose the most money-making ones every instance.
As soon as the initial round has played out, the player can either decide to continue on in an attempt to increase their earnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any cash that might have been won. Further, some versions of the game give the gambler a chance to double their wins, in which situation a further round is played. There are also differences among specific games, with some decks of cards including wild cards and other varying aspects to enhance playability.
