Electronic Poker is a beloved game that usually will be gambled on in casinos around the world, or in your house on your PC, through an Internet account. In this respect it’s very similar as a regular game of poker, without the involvement with competing players. Of course, techniques used in a physical game of poker, like bluffing, will be useless here.
The game of Video Poker starts when the bettor puts credits (either tokens, tickets or money) into the video poker machine and pushes the play button. A hand of five cards will be electronically ‘distributed’ on the screen.
The Electronic Poker machine also has hold buttons, and gamblers will need to now pick which cards to keep and which to throw away. For the cards the bettor would like to keep, the ‘hold’ buttons should be pressed so that they light up. The player can decide to keep any number of cards they wish, from all to none.
After the enthusiast has decided on which cards he wishes to keep, they should press ‘deal’, at which point any new cards are needed they will be given out. The game is now finished, with the Electronic Poker machine scanning the cards to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands printed on the pay out schedule.
Typically, the lowest succeeding hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the award money growing for each better hand. A common list of winning hands begins with jacks or better, and moves on to two pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and finally royal flushes. It goes without saying that the pay out schedule can range from game to game, so that knowledgeable enthusiasts are able to pick the most beneficial machine every time.
After the first round has finished, the player can either decide to stay on in an attempt to maximize their earnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any cash that they may have won. Further, some versions of the game allow the enthusiast a chance to increase their winnings, in which instance a further game is played. There are also differences between specific games, with some decks of cards having wild cards and other differing characteristics to enhance playability.
